NAIC
NAMES 2006 COMMITTEE CHAIRS
KANSAS CITY, MO - (January 26, 2006) -The
National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) recently
named its 2006 Committee Chairs. The NAIC President,
President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Past
Presidents, and zone representatives met in January to make
assignments based on the preferences submitted by members and the
requirements established by the Bylaws. Committee assignments are
for one year.
"The
NAIC Committee structure continues to demonstrate what an impressive
breadth of expertise we have with state regulators," said Alessandro
Iuppa, NAIC President and Maine Insurance Superintendent. "While I
am excited to have these committee leaders in place, I am also proud
to recognize that our Association has an extremely deep bench of
proficient regulators who are constantly and consistently shaping
strong policies and improving the regulatory
system."
