FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ARMED SERVICES YMCA CHOSEN HOUSTON (Dec. 1, 2007) — The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has selected the Central Texas Armed Services YMCA as the official charity for its 2007 Winter National Meeting. The choice concludes a year-long focus on supporting the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, as well as those families who have lost loved ones who were fighting to protect our country. “The Armed Services YMCA reaches out in many different ways to care for and support our troops,” said NAIC President and Alabama Insurance Commissioner Walter Bell. “It is important that we let them know how much we appreciate all they are doing to protect the freedom of this country.” The Central Texas Armed Services YMCA began with the simple idea that programs for youth and adults should be available in the community.
