FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NAIC NAMES 2008 COMMITTEE LEADERSHIP KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 25, 2008) — The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) today named its 2008 committee chairs and vice chairs. “This year’s committee leadership is a dedicated, experienced team of professionals that stands ready to effectively educate, regulate and advocate on behalf of America’s insurance consumers,” said NAIC President and Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger. “I look forward to working together with them on the many important strategic initiatives facing us in the coming year.” The NAIC officers, most immediate past president and zone representatives met earlier this month to make assignments based on each member’s preferences, as well as requirements established by the NAIC’s Bylaws. Committee assignments last one year. The 2008 NAIC committee assignments are as follows: Life Insurance and Annuities (A) Committee Chair: Eric Dinallo, Superintendent, New York State Insurance Department Vice Chair: Sean Dilweg, Commissioner, Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance Health Insurance and Managed Care (B) Committee Chair: Joel Ario, Acting Commissioner, Pennsylvania Insurance Department Vice Chair: Kim Holland, Commissioner, Oklahoma Insurance Department Property and Casualty Insurance (C) Committee Chair: Kevin McCarty, Commissioner, Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Vice Chair: Michael McRaith, Director, Illinois Division of Insurance Market Regulation and Consumer Affairs (D) Committee Chair: John Morrison, Commissioner, Montana Department of Insurance Vice Chair: Julie Benafield Bowman, Commissioner, Arkansas Insurance Department Financial Condition (E) Committee Chair: Alfred W.
