Market Analysis Procedures (D) Working Group


The NAIC's Market Analysis Procedures Working Group (MAP) is the national forum for states to share and coordinate their market analysis programs. MAP reviews and coordinates state market analysis programs and develops procedures for uniform, nationwide analysis using their adopted Framework for Market Analysis. For 2016, MAP is tasked with:

The Market Analysis Procedures (D) Working Group will:

  1. Review the Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS) data elements and the "Data Call and Definitions" for all lines of business collected in MCAS and update them, as necessary.—Essential
  2. Consider recommendations for new lines of business for MCAS and develop an MCAS blank to be used for the collection of data for additional lines of business, where appropriate.—Essential
  3. Recommend changes to the market analysis framework based on results over the past five years, including the current set of Level 1 and Level 2 questions.—Essential
  4. Discuss other market data-collection issues and make recommendations, as necessary.—Essential
