Indexed Annuities (A) Working Group
Life Insurance and Annuities (A) Committee

Charges:

Appoint an Indexed Annuities (A) Working Group to complete the following:

  1. Monitor and respond to issues, as appropriate, related to the SEC's Rule 151A on indexed annuities and certain other insurance contracts and coordinate such response with the Government Relations Leadership Council;
  2. Conduct a coordinated, nationwide data call and issue a public report regarding annuity products, with a specific focus on the sales and marketing practices of indexed annuities;
  3. Coordinate with the Market Actions (D) Working Group regarding any formal regulatory actions that might arise as a result of the coordinated data call;
  4. Review and analyze other emerging issues regarding indexed annuity products, as necessary.
