The State Producer Licensing Re-engineering project is introducing several new development tools including an Enterprise Reporting Tool (WebFOCUS), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Extract Transform Load (ETL) tool, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) performance monitoring (AmberPoint), and Oracle's Business Rules Framework.

Maryellen Waggoner, NIPR Executive Director, will discuss current NIPR events including a brief discussion on its upcoming new and exciting products and services.

What Have We Done For You Lately: The NAIC Regulatory Toolkit

Come to this informative session to learn more about the gains made by State Based Systems (SBS) in recent months in state implementations, new service development, and enhancements to existing services. SBS supports a variety of needs in a number of states. State Based Systems includes a comprehensive Company Licensing Service utilized by several states in support of their company licensing needs. This session will include an overview of the SBS state offering as well as a discussion concerning a new external service being considered whose objective is to create a more efficient communication flow between the insurance company and the insurance department. The focus on this discussion will be to identify the most pressing areas where SBS could support the needs of states and the insurance companies. Key area being considered include: company contact maintenance, address changes, and consumer complaint notification and resolution.

An overview of what is needed by regulators, companies, and consumer groups to ensure Market Regulation continues to move in the right direction.
