Services to Regulators

Reference & Research
The NAIC Research Library is a private library providing reference service to state Insurance Department officials and their staff. Due to the volume of requests, we will respond to non-regulator inquiries as time and resources permit.

Electronic News Service
The library subscribes to the Insurance Information Institute (III) Morning News and distributes it to regulators each weekday morning.

Services and Fees for Non-Regulators

  • Research (NAIC materials only): $100.00/hour (one-hour minimum)
  • Archive retrieval: $100 plus document delivery fee
  • Document delivery: $10.00 plus $1.00/page

Please note that the library can not photocopy non-NAIC materials nor entire NAIC publications, including out-of-print materials. Please visit the NAIC Store for these materials.

Holdings
The library maintains an extensive collection of printed materials including statistical reports, issue papers, government agency publications, reference works, directories, periodicals and a variety of online and CDROM information products. Holdings include documents produced by NAIC committees, legal and financial research staff.  Lending services are not available.
