Producer Licensing (D) Working Group
September 30, 2007

The Producer Licensing Working Group met on Sunday, September 30, 2007.

During this meeting, the Producer Licensing Working Group:

• Received an updated from Commissioner Sevigny regarding the progress of the Producer Licensing Coalition.

• Discussed the charge presented to the Working Group for the development of a Producer Licensing Manual.

• Received a report regarding continuing education issues. The working group was informed that the main issues concern instructor forms, rosters and states individual announcements.

• Discussed subsection 13D of the Producer Licensing Model Act and the working group’s future efforts to bring uniform interpretation to this subsection.

• Received a report from the Independent Adjuster Licensing Guideline Subgroup. The working group will hold a conference call to complete the Guidelines.

• Discussed NIPR's alert for states to load a resident license to SPLD when an active resident license already exists. In addition, the working group received an updated on the Business Rule Review and Verification.

• Discussed plans for an interim meeting that will take place in November 2007. The date and location has not been confirmed.

Adopted the meeting minutes from two conference calls on Aug. 14, 2007 and Sept. 24 2007.
