The Consumer Guides (C) Working Group did not meet since the Spring National Meeting. However, the Consumer Guides Drafting Subgroup met seven times via conference call: March 20, March 27, April 9, April 28, May 5, May 21 and June 4. The Subgroup has been revising the Consumer's Guide to Home Insurance and expects to make a recommendation to the Working Group before the Fall National Meeting.

During the Spring National Meeting, the membership approved the Consumer’s Quick Guide to Home Insurance and the Consumer’s Quick Guide to Auto Insurance. On May 4, NAIC staff sent via e-mail a copy of the two brochures to commissioners and public information officers. The e-mail advised that the brochures are available for use in electronic and print versions. The electronic version may be downloaded from the NAIC Insure U Web site (www.insureUonline.org) and each state can request an electronic version of the brochure to make available on their Web site. The print version is available by mail through the NAIC Publications Department. Each state will need to tailor the generic versions of the brochures to fit their state-specific criteria. This can be done by adding language to specific sections and coordinating changes with the NAIC editorial staff, who can be contacted at editor@naic.org.
