The Regulatory Framework (B) Task Force met Dec. 7, 2009. During this meeting, the Task Force:

• Adopted its Oct. 13 conference call minutes.

• Heard an update from a representative from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on issues related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and other federal legislation of interest to the Task Force, including the Genetic Information and Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA) and the Mental Health Parity and Addition Equity Act of 2008 (MHPAEA).

• Reviewed and discussed a draft rescission data call report. The Task Force is requesting comments from regulators and interested parties on the report. The Task Force intends to hold a conference call sometime before the end of the year to review the comments and continue its discussions as to next steps regarding the report.

• Adopted the report of the ERISA (B) Subgroup.
