The Financial Condition (E) Committee met Dec. 8, 2009. During this meeting, the Committee:

• Adopted a Guideline for Notice of Protection Provided by the state Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association, as proposed by the Receivership and Insolvency (E) Task Force.

• Discussed a U.S. Solvency Framework as exposed Nov. 17. A summary of the proposal was provided by Dr. Mary Weiss (NAIC).

• Adopted a White Paper on Alternative Mechanisms for Troubled Companies, as proposed by the Restructuring Mechanisms for Troubled Companies (E) Subgroup.

• Adopted a proposal for the Modeling Process for Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities to remain in effect for first quarter 2010.

• Adopted the reports of the following task forces and working groups:
