The Information Systems (EX1) Task Force met Dec. 5, 2009.
During this meeting, the Task Force:
- Adopted minutes from its Oct. 28 conference call, during
which the Task Force:
- Adopted a report from the Technical Consulting (EX1)
Working Group. The Working Group concurred with the
technology approach outlined for the 2010 Development
of Replacement System for Managing Centralized Market
Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS) Data and the Application
Development Testing Tools Expansion Business and Fiscal
Impact Statements, as well as the Complaints Handling
and Reporting Project Request.
- Received a quarterly update for member-approved IT project
requests for 2009, including:
- Identification of Invested Risk Attributes in the
Integrated Securities Information System.
- Support of Existing Market Conduct Annual Statement
(MCAS) Process for 2008 Filing Year.
- Application Development and Testing Productivity Tools
2009.
- Updates were provided on the SERFF, SBS and Security Framework
projects.
- A report was provided on the status of the State Producer
Licensing Reengineering project, which is still on schedule
to complete by the March 2010 projected end date.
- An update was provided on the MyNAIC.org (NAIC portal)
project. Technology changes might be required, based on
a preliminary evaluation of Oracle's portal technology direction.
- The Task Force was asked to provide suggestions for session
topics for the 2010 E-Reg Technology Exchange track. A proposed
process and timeline for development of the NAIC 2010 State
Technology Survey was also discussed.
