The Executive (EX) Committee met Dec. 6, 2009. During this meeting, the Committee:

  1. Adopted the report of the Dec. 5 joint meeting of the Executive Committee and Internal Administration (EX1) Subcommittee.
  1. Adopted the minutes from its Oct. 20 and Nov. 17 conference calls.
  1. Adopted the formation of a Title Insurance (C) Task Force and a Market Information Systems (D) Task Force.
  1. Adopted an additional charge for the Financial Condition (E) Committee to direct the appropriate group to assist the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN), a division of the U.S. Department of the Treasury with anti-money laundering examinations.
  1. Adopted a model law development request for a Risk-Based Capital (RBC) for Fraternal Benefit Societies Model Act.
  1. Adopted its task force and working group reports: AIG Managing (EX) Task Force; Broker Compensation (EX) Task Force; Climate Change and Global Warming (EX) Task Force; Government Relations (EX) Leadership Council; International Insurance Relations (EX) Leadership Group; Long-Term Care (EX) Task Force; Military Sales (EX) Working Group; Producer Licensing (EX) Task Force; SVO Initiatives (EX) Working Group; Solvency Modernization Initiative (EX) Task Force; and Speed to Market (EX) Task Force.
  1. Received quarterly reports on model law development efforts for the following:
    • Amendments to Insurance Holding Company System Regulatory Act (#440)
    • Amendments to Insurance Holding Company System Model Regulation with Reporting Forms and Instructions (#450)
    • Amendments to Standard Nonforfeiture Law for Life Insurance (#808)
    • Amendments to Suitability in Annuity Transactions Model Act (#275)
    • Amendments to Annuity Disclosure Model Regulation (#245)
    • Amendments to Nondiscrimination in Health Insurance Coverage in the Group Market Model Regulation (#107)
    • Amendments to Small Employer Health Insurance Availability Model Act (#118)
    • Amendments to Individual Health Insurance Portability Model Act (#37)
    • Amendments to Model Regulation to Implement the NAIC Medicare Supplement Insurance Minimum Standards Model Act (#651).
  1. Received the report of the NIPR Board of Directors.
  1. Received the report of the SERFF Board and ratified Board membership elections.
  1. Received the report of the IIPRC.
