Winter 2009 Meeting Summaries Index

The Speed to Market (EX) Task Force met Dec. 6, 2009. During this meeting, the Task Force:

• Adopted the report of the Operational Efficiencies (EX) Working Group, which included a progress report on the Produce Filing Review Handbook and a request to extend the completion date to June 2010. There are three chapters that remain outstanding (4, 5 and 8).
• Adopted the report of the National Standards (EX) Working Group, which addressed progress made on annuity, disability income, group life and disability income standards.
• Received a report from the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) that included operational issues, filing experience, the Statement of Intent release within SERFF, and their public hearing on several proposed standards.
• Received a report on SERFF and Speed to Market implementation activity. This report included filing statistics, state implementation successes, and coordination with the National Treatment and Coordination (E) Working Group on corporate merger/rate and form filing collaboration.
• Received a report from the SERFF Board that included announcements of newly elected as well as re-elected and re-appointed Board members. In addition, the report conveyed strategic planning activity and SERFF development progress as well as a status evaluating the proposal to leverage SERFF for broader access to filings.
