My NAIC, I-SITE & StateNet

My NAIC is a site for members with daily updated content for state regulatory staff. The site provides quick access to much of the NAIC’s content developed for regulators including the components of the NewsWire e-mail (daily clips) the member calendar (conference calls), publications, regulatory tools and common links.

I-SITE is an Internet browser–based application that is used to report financial, market conduct and producer information housed in the NAIC databases. StateNet provides access to tools and documents made available to regulator by the various divisions and departments of the NAIC.

Users in the state insurance departments can access I-SITE via the frame relay that the NAIC put in place for CUI. Remote users, such as examiners in the field, will access I-SITE through state-obtained Internet service providers. StateNet is one of the options that becomes available to users logged onto I-SITE.

To access I-SITE from within the state departments of insurance, use the URL http://i-site-state.naic.org. To access I-SITE from outside the state departments of insurance, use the URL http://i-site.naic.org.

Contact the NAIC Data Processing Coordinator in your state to obtain an I-SITE user name and password (see Oracle User IDs below). If you do not know who to contact, please call the NAIC Help Desk for assistance with this process. The IDs are Oracle based and will begin with your state abbreviation. If you have difficulty logging into I-SITE, please contact the Help Desk at 816.783.8500 or via e-mail to help@naic.org.

System requirements for I-SITE are:
This application is designed for personal computers running one of the Windows 2000/XP operating systems using one of the Internet Explorer 5.x or 6.x, or Netscape Communicator/Navigator 6.x or 7.x browsers. Your browser must support Javascript 1.2 and it must be set to allow the saving of cookies on your computer. Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.x or newer must be installed in order to view files in PDF format. This web site is designed for a minimum screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels.

Oracle User IDs
(Required for I-Site/StateNet)

Oracle User IDs are administered by each state's NAIC User Administrator in conjunction with the NAIC. The State NAIC User Administrator will log on to the Oracle Access Manager (OAM) application by navigating to the I-SITE Utilities page and then clicking the "Oracle User Admin" link (you will be asked to log in to the Oracle Access Manager application again if you log in to I-SITE first). Because this is a stand-alone application, after you access it through the I-SITE Utilities page, we recommend adding the URL to your browser’s favorites so that you can then access it via a bookmark or favorite.

Click here to download the Oracle Access Manager User Guide for State NAIC Administrators (approximately 591 KB).

After the new User ID has been created, the appropriate role assignments must be requested through the NAIC Help Desk .  Click here for a listing of available roles and their corresponding descriptions and access privileges.  Once the request to assign the roles has been received, the role assignment(s) will be confirmed by the NAIC Help Desk within 1 business day.
