NAIC Elects 2018 Officers

Members of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) elected the following officers for 2018 today during its Fall 2017 National Meeting: President: Tennessee Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak; President-Elect: Maine Insurance Superintendent Eric A. Cioppa; Vice President: South Carolina Insurance Director Raymond G. Farmer; Secretary-Treasurer: Hawaii Insurance Commissioner Gordon I. Ito.

Nickel Earns Consumer Liasion Award
NAIC President Ted Nickel

NAIC President Ted Nickel received the Excellence in Consumer Advocacy Award during the NAIC Consumer Liaison Committee meeting.

I'd like to think, the NAIC has established, or re-established its footing as a leader on insurance regulatory issues this year. Our December meeting marks a transition for the NAIC as we begin to conclude the work of one NAIC President and start the transition to the next. It allows us an opportunity to reflect on all that has transpired this year, all we have accomplished together and the groundwork we have established for future successes.

Launched on Insure U, we featured an Annual Health Insurance Check Up to help guide consumers through the process of selecting their coverage.
