The Receivership and Insolvency (E) Task Force of the Financial Condition (E) Committee met Sept. 22, 2009. During this meeting, the Task Force:

• Received a legislative update related to receivership matters from interested parties.
• Discussed communication efforts with the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on reporting requirements under Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 as it relates to insurers in receivership.
• Reviewed comment letters from interested regulators and interested parties regarding solutions to address concerns with the timing and collection of reinsurance recoverables held by insurers in receivership.
•  Adopted 2010 proposed charges.
