Summer 2009 Meeting Summaries Index
The Accident and Health Working Group met Sept. 14, 2009.
During this meeting, the Working Group:
- Discussed modifications to the Actuarial Opinion section of the Health Annual Statement Instructions for 2010.
- Discussed the project to update the refund calculation in Appendix A of the Model Regulation to Implement the NAIC Medicare Supplement Minimum Standards Model Act. The subgroup will draft a proposal for the refund calculation.
- Discussed the project to review and update the Guideline for Filing of Rates for Individual Health Insurance Forms.
- Decided to continue the 2009 charges for 2010, with the exception of the charge to update the Medicare Supplement Compliance Manual. Charges were added to develop a replacement for the 1987 Commissioners Group Disability Table, and to review and update the Guidelines for Filing of Rates for Individual Health Insurance Forms.
