Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker appointed Ted Nickel as Insurance Commissioner for the State of Wisconsin Jan. 3, 2011. Prior to his appointment, Nickel worked nearly 18 years with Church Mutual Insurance Company as Director of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs. His broad background in insurance includes serving on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Insurance Security Fund, was a member of the Oklahoma Property Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association, and was a long-time member of the Legal and Government Affairs Committee of the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America. He served on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Insurance Alliance, including serving as Chair. He is the current Secretary of the Midwestern Zone and is a member of the Executive Committee for NAIC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Valparaiso University. |
